Its our fifth day in Toms studio doing pre-production with Matt Lovell. I figure if he can brew a great lager, i’m sure he could record a great album.
The first three days were spent going thru our short-list of 16 album songs (Only 12 will make the cut). As well as having several “War Councils” about what needs to be done before going to Sing Sing to track drums.We talked about having lots of toys to use this time round. Jon borrowed a bunch of guitars and amps from Chris Cheney (Living End), amazing sounding Gretsch’s and his mighty Wizard Amp, Now he doesn’t want to give them back. Ben from Musiclink brought in my new black Shecter Bass and an Ampeg Octave pedal. Not to mention the new Electro-Harmonix pedals we also got:
the Double Muff, Graphic Fuzz, Electric Mistress, the list goes on…
This last day of pre-pro was spent rehearsing all the songs to prep Tom up for next week.
